Taking care of your rodent is essential in order to preserve its well-being and health. Good hygienic conditions also guarantee your comfort by limiting odours, bacteria and potential allergens, as does optimal cage maintenance.
Even though these little animals may look alike, they have well-defined needs in terms of care. Rabbits and guinea pigs should be brushed several times a week, especially during moulting, while hamsters and ferrets can do with regular but more occasional brushing. Finally, gerbils, mice and rats, especially if they live in groups, naturally groom each other, so brushing is less essential.
